Organized in 1992, - an assignee of All - union society of theriological, created by academician V.E. Sokolov in 1973. Society unites the specialists, comparatively with the studding mammals. Ten sections – paleotherilogical, morphologies, systematic, mammal's geography, ecology, mammals protection, medical, harvest-commercial and agricultural theriological possible broadly exchange by information between specialists. To Entrust Activity and sections of Society is promoted in organizations of counsel, agreements, as well as publishing the collections of other thematic directions. Society includes 1500 participants and has12 local branches.
