MAIN GOALS AND TASKS

The laboratory was accredited by the Committee of Russian Federation on Standartization, Metrology and Certification (Gosstandart RF) in November 1993 for conducting of the works on dioxin and dioxin-like compounds and was registered in Register of the System (ROSS. RU. 0001.510021) and participates in International qualification tests regularly.

The main direction of research in laboratory is the development of the methods of 'track' and 'ultra-track' analysis of priority ecotoxic substances in environmental objects, including living organisms. New methods of analysis are developed in the Laboratory and research works on the study of the features of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans with the aim of creation of the methods for their destruction are carried out.

The studied subjects are the following pollutants of ecosphere: polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD), dibenzofurans (PCDF), dioxin-like compounds, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), stable organic compounds (SOC), phenols, components of chemical weapon and other organic compounds and also heavy metals.
