The Biogeocenological station «Malinky» was founded in 1970 with the view of providing facilities for natural surveys carried out by the V.N. Sukachev Laboratory of Biogeocoenology. The Station is located in the Narofominsk District of the Moscow Region, several kilometers from the railway station Krasnaya Pakhra. It is surrounded by forests belonging to the State Forest Fund. The scientists of the Laboratory of Biogeocoenology have arranged there some constant trial plantations (about 50) for stationary investigations of the biogeocenological process and relations between various components of the forest biogeocenosis.
